Altarab is operated by SoftSim Technologies Inc. This policy covers the Altarab website and mobile apps. Collection depends on the features you use and the permissions you grant.
We store account information such as your name, email address, account identifier, authentication provider and a hashed password where password sign-in is used. We store purchase and subscription records, transaction references, license entitlements, platform and timestamps to provide and restore access. Apple, Google and Stripe process payments; we do not receive your full payment card number.
We record screens and tools opened, learning progress, activity duration, platform, app/browser information and timestamps. These records may be associated with your account or an installation identifier. We collect error and diagnostic events to detect login, purchase and playback problems, maintain the service and help affected users. Server and security logs may include IP addresses and request metadata. We use usage information to understand and improve our features.
We store support requests and contact information you provide, and content you explicitly upload or submit, including profile images, audio/video recordings, scores, files, compositions, quiz answers and learning submissions. Authorized teachers may access submissions for feedback. Optional online transcription sends the selected audio to our processing services; speech transcription may use Deepgram. On-device microphone pitch detection and tuning do not upload audio by themselves. Uploading or submitting a recording is a separate action. We do not access your contact list or collect precise GPS location.
Version 3.0.1 of the iOS app includes the official TikTok App Events SDK. It starts only after you allow tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If allowed, TikTok receives device identifiers, install/launch and retention events, app/device information, network metadata and SDK diagnostics to measure the effectiveness of Altarab advertising. This may link app activity with TikTok’s data for advertising measurement. Our integration does not send your account email, name, password, lesson recordings or purchase events to TikTok. You can use Altarab without allowing tracking. Change your choice in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Altarab. The Android integration, when released, requests a separate optional in-app measurement choice.
We use hosting and delivery providers, including Cloudflare, to operate and protect the service. Apple App Store, Google Play and Stripe process purchases; sign-in providers process the sign-in method you select. Providers receive information needed for their functions. TikTok receives optional advertising measurement data as described above. Processing may occur outside your country.
We retain account, purchase and learning records while needed to provide your account and purchased access. Operational and support records are retained as needed to investigate issues and maintain the service. Some transaction and security records may need to be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. You may request access, correction, export or deletion by emailing [email protected]. You can also use account deletion where available in the app. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a store subscription; manage subscriptions through the store or billing provider.
Altarab is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. We will update this page when our practices change.
